It's funny on how you work on a project and know what your end goal is, yet getting there can be a mountain to climb. It's not very often I get to see my aunt struggle on a project for very long and when she does, she has to find something to inspire the next move. The inspiration she found was in a line of fabrics - bold colors with flowers and just wow! It's nothing but cheerful. I honestly can't wait to see the finished product.
When I find myself in this position, I usually hide away in a book and get lost in another place or I find my crochet hook and make something (usually an afghan). If the season allows, I get to the drawing board for the Veggie garden or start seeds, or just pluck at the weeds and smile when the fruit comes to life. I learned early on that if I push hard at quilting when I'm in a funk, I stay down longer (like needing a good nap).
